Photo Album
After long and detailed analyses I finally geared up for a brand new Canon EOS 400D, combined with 17-85mm IS lens. However, the IXUS is still in excellent shape! And an easy companion when on the road!
- Singapore - a bit of England in Asia.
As there were some issues to be solved, Paul was able to stay in
Singapore for a while. Although a lot of time was spent at the customer
site, there was some time left to look around. And to try the delicious
seafood, obviously! If you go there, try the Black Pepper Crab at Long
Beach!
- Neustift and Davos - not only nice during winter.
Obviously excellent spots for skiing (or boarding), but only in summer it is a nice area to hike and camp! - Taipei - see Taiwan special.
- 4daagse - see the 4Daagse special.
- Thorn - the white city.
Not very impressive, but on walking distance from pa en ma, so convenient as a small 4daagse warm-up.
- Pieterpad - walking a few stretches on the famous Pieterpad May and June 2007.
As we need to get some training and preparation for the 4-Daagse, we
decided to follow the Pieterpad southward. In part 1 we walked
from Venlo to Roermond (actually, to Beegden - a detour to our
B&B!) and from south of Susteren (near Isenbruch) to the Pieterberg
in Maastricht.
In part 2 we went from Roermond to Susteren, to complete the stretch
Venlo > Maastricht. No idea when we will continue actually...
In part 3 we walked from Venlo to Vierlingsbeek. The ducks at the Maas have been added ;-)
- Les Arcs - skiing trip
March 2007.
Since last year's trip to Les Menuires with a group of snow addicts was
quite a success, we - that is Paul - joined again this year. Target:
Les Arcs, Hotel Aiguille Rouge in Arc 2000. Hanneke - though she did
like it
very much last year - decided to skip this time (she is not
born
on skis...).
- Les Menuires - skiing
trip February 2006.
The trip referred to above. Target: Les Menuires in Les Trois Vallees,
Chalet in Reberty 2000. Lots of sun and lots of slopes to choose from.
One of the highlights - apart from skiing - would be the trip part of
our group made to Turin, to catch a glimpse of the Turin 2006 Olympic Winter games.
After driving off early morning, we attended the Women 1500m Speed
Skating, and obviously we visited the Holland Heineken House
;-)
Some pictures are included.
Oh, and I have left out the La Grotte du Yeti coverage on purpose...
